Scholarship Program

Dennis J. Sommer Scholarship for Excellence in Education

Alliance will award three $5,000 college scholarships in 2026. To be eligible, applicants must be Alliance Credit Union members (or the son, daughter, or grandchild of an Alliance member), as well as one of the following:

• A full-time college student
• A high school student who will be a full-time college student in 2026/27
• Applications are due by Friday, February 27th, 2026, and late applications will not be accepted

Email your scholarship application and all applicable documents to scholarships@alliancecu.com.

Selection and Presentation

Judging will be completed by a panel consisting of employees and volunteers and will be based solely on a review of the application information. Qualification is not based on grade point average or college test scores. The winners will be notified in March.
